Health & Safety

Health

VCU students taking a minimum of three credit hours may visit University Student Health Services. Fees for services are billed to the student’s VCU account. The University Student Health Services website offers more information on services, billing, and hours.

The Wellness Resource Center, or the Well, helps students achieve and maintain a healthy lifestyle with an array of services and resources related to personal wellness.

Safety

VCU is located in a diverse, urban, community. All students must take an active role in maintaining their personal safety.

VCU alert provides information about urgent situations happening on or near campus. Students and families can sign up to receive text alerts on cell phones.

In an emergency, students may dial VCU Police at (804) 828-1234 or use an emergency phone. There are currently more than 326 yellow and red emergency phones located throughout campus, which connect directly to the VCU Police.

The LiveSafe app is another helpful resource that students can use to promote personal safety on campus.
